Clare Vivier dilemma

So I've dropped the idea of the PS1... instead, I really REALLY want a Clare Vivier bag. Love that she's based in LA (local to my heart and hometown) and drooling over the luscious pure celebration of leathuh. Have been hemming and hawing over which to get:


Le Tropézienne

or


Messenger in Navy

Man, when I see that tan Italian hide I can't really think of anything else. But then I ponder the crossbody abilities of the messenger... I think both will be in my life eventually but...

I think I should go for Le Trop today (which is the opposite of what I determined in my last email with a friend on which way to go!) It just feels so ready for Spring, Summer, etc. I know I'll be happy with it and it will be nice to just be DONE with this debate, sheesh, AND seriously, I'm well and done with the whole crinkled canvas thing, ick, it's totally bringing my look down. Clare on her blog is talking about how she's shopping her line to Vogue, so I feel like I have to go go go before the prices hike up again (it kills me that you can find old links to shops when the bags were even cheaper!)
